In addition to reservoir engineering, GCA advises a wide group of clients in exploration, reservoir evaluation, field development, drilling and production, pipeline, refining and LNG projects throughout the world. Responsibilities · Provide reservoir engineering input to multi-disciplinary projects, including field development planning, reservoir performance analysis, and reserves estimation and auditing. · Advises clients on reservoir engineering matters and manages integrated projects: · Increase profile and drive introduction of new technology. Present GCA capabilities at senior levels within the client organization · Provide peer review of deliverables to clients · Manage some of the more complex projects for delivery of solutions and reports to clients · Drive proactive customer service initiatives, conducting regular customer visits related to his/her projects, and identifying & developing new business opportunities. · Lead project delivery teams in creating and implementing competency standards and operational procedures in order to ensure technical and service excellence. Experience · A broad Petroleum Engineering background and with good Management Skills that can be applied to integrated projects. · The role demands that close links are developed and maintained with other geosciences and engineering disciplines such as Geology, Geophysics, Petrophysics, Petroleum Engineering, Production Technologist, Drilling and Completions, Geomechanics and Production Chemistry. · Experience of reservoir engineering studies using appropriate state of the art techniques is a must. This includes reservoir simulation, material balance, decline curve analysis, well test analysis, PVT, SCAL data analysis, well and reservoir performance evaluation, production forecast, reserves estimation, EOR projects evaluation and recovery mechanisms (e.g. CO2 flooding, water injection, thermal), and unconventional methods. Experience in development of both green and mature fields, as well as in decision and risk analysis is an advantage. · Experience with leading reservoir engineering applications is essential. Should have experience of presenting data, interpretations, and reports to clients either individually or as part of the larger project team. Some experience related to cost/benefit estimates, achievability, practicality, economical impact is desirable. Candidate profile and other skills · Must have strong Communication Skills along with an ability to work in a team environment, as well as an ability to work unsupervised and exercise initiative to resolve potential problems · Must have the ability to coach or mentor team members. · Must be able to understand & anticipate customer needs in subsurface area and be a key player in developing internal (across Baker Hughes Group companies) & external relationships. Must have a track record of converting such relationships into new revenues (business development). · Must have a clear customer focus and be able to understand the variety of people and business cultures in different areas of the business, and respond to them accordingly. · Must be able to use the right information and/or systems and/or technology, and be able to identify and implement improvements as appropriate. · Must have demonstrated an ability to effectively utilize dedicated resources, and the ability to plan, control, and take responsibility for own work. · Demonstrate high level computer skills. · Experience of consultancy work and delivery of premium advisory services is an advantage but not requirement · Understanding of the commercial aspects of the upstream industry is an advantage. · A full understanding of the key drivers of operations and reservoir management. · Fully conversant with capabilities in other disciplines (e.g. Geology, Geophysics, Petrophysics, Petroleum Engineering, Production Technology and Drilling, Surface facility engineering) able to contribute actively to integrated studies and can create overall plans which are optimized to the needs of the client Education · Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent with deep technical expertise gained in a consultancy or operator.
