We are currently recruiting for a Systems Engineer to join the Baker Hughes team supporting our Pressure Pumping product line in Tomball, Texas. To perform Research and Development of software implemented on embedded monitoring and control systems. This position reports to the Manager of Software Applications, but works with other Departmental personnel as needs arise. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Perform R&D on Embedded Software
- Assist in supporting Operations
- Conduct software testing and consulting
- Assists in project planning and review.
- Remain abreast of latest technology
Successful applicants will possess the following: Education/ Experience/Training
- Qualified candidates will possess a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years design experience in Systems Integration and Circuit Design preferred.
· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering · At least four years of experience
- Intermediate technical skills.
· Good written and verbal skills. · Ability to build peer relationships as well as work independently. · Intermediate problem solving and project management skills. · Good organizing, planning, and presentation skills. · Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and customer focused with a drive for results. · Ability to manage time, make quality decisions, and manage and measure work.
- Knowledge of software, microprocessors and board design a plus.
- 60% travel
