Role Synopsis The role is a trainee position. The Field Engineer will be responsible for the coordination and management of a project from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities · Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with the companies Quality Management System · Prepare procedures, quality plans, safety plans, procurement plans and general project engineering when required · Prepare studies and general documentation · Liase with Clients · Accurately prepare Load Out Lists and attend follow up meetings regarding project requirements. · Resource and price project related goods and/or services in accordance with Company guidelines · Perform pre-mobilisation expediting, client and vendor liaison and maintain project general files · Prepare and compile job-pack documentation and certification in accordance with Company Guidelines and Client specification · Conduct site visits · Oversee and participate in the cleaning and drying, gel cleaning, pumping, hydrotesting, dewatering, leak testing, and transferring of pipeline and process sites in a timely, efficient and safe professional manner. · Liaise with department supervisors on maintenance of equipment and actively participate as a team member. · Service equipment and make repairs to ensure all base and mobile equipment is well maintained and kept clean. · Train, motivate and develop subordinates to ensure continually high standards of performance · Handle special projects as assigned. · Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Desired/Preferred Qualifications · General knowledge of basic engineering and business principles. · Knowledge of metallurgy, materials and petroleum engineering concepts. · Good communication skills - both verbal and written Company Overview Baker Hughes serves the worldwide oil and natural gas industry with reservoir consulting and products and services for drilling, formation evaluation, completion and production.
