• Reports to:

 Chief Electrician

• Comply with all Ensco's HSE policies as outlined in Ensco's QSMS document.
• Performs Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on all Shipboard Electrical Equipment to include but not limited to:

 Main and Emergency Generators
 Distribution (High, Medium and Low Voltage)
 Variable Frequency Drives (Propulsion and Drilling)
 Electric Motors (All motors including Propulsion Drive Motors)
 HVAC Systems (Electrical Part)
 General Lighting Systems
 Galley and Laundry Systems

• Coordinate all maintenance with other departments to ensure minimum impact on operations involving critical equipment.
• Troubleshoots complex electrical systems and facilitates repairs down to the lowest replaceable unit.  
• Documents equipment historical data for the purpose of reliability analysis and planning necessary upgrades.
• Provides Handover to the oncoming electrician providing a seamless transition of work during tour changes and works over at the request of the Chief Electrician when necessary
• Performs periodic inventory of spare parts for systems in his area of responsibility to ensure minimal downtime and advises the Chief electrician of low stock levels
• Operates and maintains all electrical test equipment.
• Reviews power one line diagrams to determine proper isolation of equipment for maintenance purposes.
• Performs electrical isolations for various departments when required as part of their PTW.
• Maintains integrity of EX installations in hazardous locations and conducts periodic inspections of same.
•
• Makes electrical department weekly maintenance system entries to document work done including Preventive and corrective actions.
• Performs Electrical department daily checks filling out the checklist for submission to the Chief Electrician.
• Performs quarterly inspection of all portable electrical devices and tools keeping a log of inventory, color coding and equipment status.
• Ensures order, cleanliness and housekeeping in his areas of responsibility.
• Participates in weekly Stop tour with all Electrical Department Personnel selecting a different area each week.        
• Keep written hand-over notes to ensure efficient and accurate transfer of information
• Attend Company training as outlined in the Training Matrix for Deep Water GOM.  

• High School Diploma
• Strong troubleshooting skills are required
• Minimum of 2 years on a Drilling Vessel in working in Electrical Department.
• Complete Competency requirements IAW Pride Competence Management Manual Ensco-04-01 Section 2.6.4
