 WTS Energy is seeking to hire Senior Engineer, Planning for one of its client who is an international Oil & Gas operating company. Senior Engineer, Planning will work in Project Services team and responsible for both onshore and offshore projects.
The responsibilities of Senior Engineer, Planning will include but are not limited to the following:
Responsibility for preparation of Resource Loaded Schedules for Offshore & Onshore Oil & Gas Projects.
Set up database for monitoring weekly progress for Engineering / Procurement / Fabrication & Installation Phases.
Preparations of two week look ahead schedules / Predecessors & Successors Activity reports.
Establishing Weightings, Preparation of S-Curves & Project Progress Measurement and Monitoring System for Engineering, Procurement & Construction.
Engineering / Procurement Manhours / Construction Level of Effort / Manpower Loading & Resources Estimation.
Prepare Critical Path Analysis for Projects using Computerized Scheduling Systems, including interaction with various discipline groups to develop an Achievable Project Schedule.
Analyse contractor - submitted construction schedules, clarify issues with contractor when required and develop Contract Master Schedules (CMS).
Assist in maintaining and improving Planning Systems & Procedures / Formats.
Assist in effective Presentation of Planning & Forecast Information.
Progress Reporting Procedures and Preparation of Weekly / Monthly progress
Attend Weekly Project Progress Review Meeting and appraise Project Progress status and highlight Bottle - Necks / Critical areas.
Interdisciplinary Co - ordination & Regular Follow up with Engineering / Procurement / Construction Teams / Contractors for feedback on Project Progress Status.
Interface with Lead Engineers to ensure most efficient operational methodologies are used.
Collect and analyse past project performance and experience for optimization of future project estimates and schedules.
Project Engineering activities as and when required
Requirements:
Senior Engineer, Planning will have minimum 15 years' experience in oil, gas or petrochemical industry
Must be used to working in a multi-discipline environment
Must have worked in an expatriate situation for at least five (5) year.
University Engineering Degree
Good understanding of project management controls and procedures.
Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of consistency and accuracy.
Strong industry knowledge in an MNC work environment would be an advantage
Assist the Planning team in the preparation of Planning and Scheduling Procedure
More Details:
Work schedule: 6:2 weeks.
Initial Contract of 12 months (Option to extend).
For this position, preference will be given to Nigerian nationals. In case Expatriate candidate(s) are selected it is a prerequisite he/she is tasked to mentor and train a Nigerian understudy
