As a Senior Drilling Supervisor you will have a proven track record of managing well-site activities for a minimum of 10 years with at least 5 years specific experience in deepwater (1500m+) exploration, appraisal and development wells, supervising and executing drilling operations in a global deepwater environment. It is also essential that you have experience of managing operations utilizing a dual activity deepwater dynamically positioned drilling rig.
As a key member of the Exceed team we expect you to confidently supervise all drilling operations to ensure all the appropriate options are considered whilst developing and promoting techniques and strategies that optimise asset value.
Key responsibilities will include:
•Coordinate the well construction, completions and logistics activities at the well site.
•Communicate well construction and completions objectives to all service company representatives.
•Coordinate rig site QHSE and QA activities to ensure company environmental, safety and loss control objectives are achieved and that the service contractors follow safe and professional operations.
•Ensure all the operations are performed in compliance with Government Regulations, Company Policies and Industry Standards and Practices.
•Respond to unforeseen well problems with action that does not compromise the environment, safety and well bore integrity.
•Evaluate the work plan and monitor daily progress for potential conflicts that may arise and would require planning revisions.
•Mentoring less experienced rig supervisors.
•Initiate, update and utilize a daily forecast and activity plan to schedule transportation requirements and ensure personnel, materials, equipment are on site when needed.
•Prepare event assessment reports for lost time.
•Assist with HSE audits.
•Organize pre-job meetings.
•Initiate/participate in safety meetings.
•Direct (and report) Offshore team in all Drills, Exercises and actual Emergency Response functions
•Provide leadership, supervision and daily guidance to all technical staff and contractors on the rig.
•Prioritize and delegate project work requests from shore base such that the work is conducted in a safe and timely manner.
•To function as alternate to the Drilling Superintendent during drilling operations.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
•A minimum 10 years experience in drilling and completions activities in an offshore environment.
•Strong technical skills both in well construction design and op¬erations
•Fluent in well control operations and practices
•Proven leadership / supervisory ability, strong interpersonal skills including work ethic
•Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
•Extensive experience in deepwater operations and subsea equipment
•Experience working independently and in a team environment
•Extensive international experience working with foreign cultures
•Demonstrated reliability and high level of responsibility in a broad spectrum of off¬shore activities;
•Need to have current SubSea Well Control, BOSIET training and medical Certificate.
