Job Description:
Responsible for supporting the Engineering team in the development and part number assignment of Inspection Plans (IPs), Material Inspection Characteristics (MICs) and Q level classifications based on the part/assembly and ensuring that all information is correct before extending a part to the fabrication facility.

Job Description

    • Collect, analyze and monitor material extension performance data and work with engineering to improve the quality of material extended to the fabrications sites and suppliers
    • Prepare Inspection Test Plans
    • Develop Material Inspection Characteristics (MICs)
    • Assign appropriate level of Q classifications to parts
    • Assign MICs to correct IP's
    • Attach the correct IP's (make and buy) and Q classifications to new parts being extended to manufacturing
    • 0 - 10% travel


Required Skills --

    • B.S. degree or equivalent years experience
    • 1 - 3 years quality engineering experience
    • Training on ASME Section 8, 9 code
    • Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft office suite.
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Knowledgeable in the use of GD&T and be able to read and interpret blueprints
    • Working knowledge with ASME Section VIII and Section IX code a plus
    • Experienced in a manufacturing environment
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or related standards (API Q1/ISO 29001) is a plus
    • Knowledge of paint processes to include internal and external corrosion resistant coatings
    • Knowledge of NDE testing to include ultrasonic testing, hydrostatic testing, magnetic particle testing, dye penetrate testing, and radiography
    • Knowledge of oilfield manufacturing and operations is a plus.
