Job Description:
|
 The preferred candidate will have 8-10 years experience in the design of oil, gas or water related Process Equipment.
To be considered for this position the selected candidate should possess the following.
• Engineering degree with 8-10 years of relevant experience within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of international mechanical design codes and programs commonly used in the petroleum industry.
• Knowledge of fabrication techniques for vessels, piping and structure etc, and also the associated testing techniques and established industry QC requirements.
• General knowledge of oil and gas production, hydrocarbon processing and oil/water separation.
• Some knowledge of structural and/or pipe stress design and analysis.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suites
Requirements/Qualifications
• A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with 2-5 years experience in the ASME B&PV Code Section VIII, Div 1/2 and ASME B.31-3 standards.
• Familiarity with national and international sturctural codes and Nace and API standards.
• Good knowledge and understanding of fabrication and NDE methods
• Experience with commercial engineering design programs ie., Compass, RISA-3D
• Good knowledge of technical aspects of oil and gas processes (NATCO preferred)
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good understanding of material requirements and codes and standards applicable to Oil & Gas process equipment
• Ability to read P&ID
• Self motivation, initiative and commitment
• Computer literate
