Job Description:
|

• Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process, compiling and evaluating statistical data to determine and maintain the quality and reliability of the product
• Reviews and interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams or formulas to arrive at specified quality and reliability standards.
• Applies quality control engineering ideas to specific tools or methods, and plans and manufacturing purposes. Assists in evaluating quality control equipment designed by others.
• Assists in preparing data and analysis for management decisions, effecting plant/facility quality control operations.
• Instructs operational staff in inspections and quality control use and interpretation.
• Sets up and performs destructive and non-destructive tests on materials, parts and or products to measure performance, life or material characteristics.
• Records and maintains test data using statistical procedures preparing data and graph forms.
• Evaluates data and prepares summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards.
• Meet with vendors, customers, quality representatives and manufacturing personnel to discuss and resolve quality and manufacturing issues.
• Prepares necessary reports required by customer and staff personnel.
Requirements/Qualifications
• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have 3 years progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with experience in third party and in-house inspections, non-destructive testing and welding.
• ASME Certification
• Knowledge of ASME Section IX Welding Qualification.
• Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and work flow.
• Knowledge in quality assurance concepts and technique.
• Certification by the American Welding Society as welding inspector preferred.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must have computer knowledge.
• Actively supports, participates in, and maintains the integrity and on-going function of the company and facility's safety program: ensuring a safe/healthy work environment.
