Job Description:
|
SWIFT is currently seeking a Production Engineering Supervisor for an energy industry leader which engages in the worldwide exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas our Fairfield, Texas location.
Responsibilities:
* Promote and support a culture where safety and environmental compliance is a top priority. Initiate actions that will enhance the operation's safety and environmental performance..
* Operates in a manner which upholds Marathon's core values of trust, honesty and integrity.
* Work closely with the Operations Team and other Production Superintendents to maximize the value and efficiency of our ongoing operations. Positively interact with both office and field personnel in a manner that creates an atmosphere of creativity, cooperation and continuous improvement.
* Evaluate, recommend, and implement area management techniques and strategies from both a field development and operational standpoint
* Review production and expense data for their area of responsibility, and direct the efforts of the team to optimize performance.
* Coach, train, manage performance and reward team members. Develops team into a cohesive and efficient operating group.
* Ensure that Company production and facility operations in the assigned area are conducted in accordance with operating agreements, surface use agreements, government regulations and conservation practices.
* Establish, implement and monitor team performance commitments and metrics.
* Responsible for coordinating with exploration, drilling and completions, upstream technology and operations teams for well planning, execution and handoff.
* Demonstrate the ability to lead; take charge, offer opinions and direction in maximizing the effectiveness of the assets.
* Ability to analyze complex issues, develop and implement clear action plans to resolve issues.
* Accountable for managing the complexity of the production assets.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree - Engineering discipline required (petroleum engineering preferred)
* Minimum 7+ years in production and/or workover experience; 3+ years leadership / management experience
* Knowledge of and experience in oil & gas industry required.
* Excellent oral and written communication, teamwork, and planning & organizational skills.
* Ability to work and communicate well within a broad organization, as well as the ability to prioritize and strategically plan in an environment with many priorities is essential for success in this position.
