 Talascend is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer (Mid-Level) for a contract opportunity in Houston, Texas Role and Responsibilities: This work involves all aspects of the electrical design from the conception through detailed engineering. The successful candidate will:Lead projects requiring support staff under his/her direction and be responsible for budget and schedule for the electrical scope of workBe knowledgeable in the preparation of complete quality packages for the engineering, procurement, and construction of electrical systems for our clientsDevelop / Understand P&IDsGenerate electrical equipment specifications, One-Line Diagrams, Motor Lists and motor schematics Perform short circuit analysisPerform design tasks in accordance with accepted engineering practices and standards utilizing both manual and computer based methodsExecute work in accordance with schedule and coordinate execution of projects with other disciplines and the project managerApply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields Make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and represent the organization to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work Qualifications and Education Requirements:Bachelors or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or other appropriate discipline or demonstrated experience 5- 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering design of power generation facilities, petrochemical plants, specialty chemicals, or related industries. License/Certification/Security card needed: PE license preferred
