Responsibilities:
This finance position is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of various finance functions, including:
- Finance support in our periodic reforecast and reporting process and ensuring such reconciles to our planning system communication
- Respond to queries relating to time charges, allocations, invoices and support monthly allocation of costs to regions
- Help facilitate AFE request and set up including tracking actual spend to AFE amounts and creation of the capital budget
- Monthly close of accounting records including support for variance analysis for general ledger
- Board and other management reporting
- Accrual support and reconciliations
- Monthly/periodic scorecard support
- Assistance with accounts payable and expense reimbursement functions as it relates to the Woodlands office
- Adherence to SOX standards and procedures
- International charges and allocations
- Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Qualifications:
- Accounting designation required (ex. CPA, CMA), MBA is considered an asset
- 5-10 years of direct work experience
- Experience working with multiple software applications including Microsoft Office Suite. Able to easily adapt to new software applications
- SAP experience is an asset
- Oil & Gas Industry experience required, knowledge of oil and gas joint venture operation, accounting and financial reporting
