Job Description:

Role Synopsis

The Commercial Advisor will provide tender support and managing pricing strategies primarily for the Drilling Fluids or various product Baker product lines.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Coordinates contracting initiatives, pricing and business models to ensure consistent review and negotiation of service agreements, tenders, and bids.

Reviews and maintains files from completed jobs to ensure all lessons learned are captured.

Work closely with Sales, Global Accounts, Supply Chain and Operations Groups to ensure tenders requirements are met.

Responsible for create and maintaining data integrity including keeping T'&C's and indexing formulas current in the system.

Compile and quality control e-catalog information for clients as needed.

Liaison between commercial, technical and operations team members in tender preparation.

Assists with generating Product Line Price books and recommends pricing strategies to Sales and Operations.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

5+ years experience in related field.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge and understanding of Baker Hughes contracts, pricing, and tenders, policies and procedures.

Develop/coordinate/promote enterprise tendering and contract processes and systems within the region/geomarkets for tenders and quotes.

Participate in the profitability and sensitivity analysis for large projects.

Mitigate commercial risk through evaluation and management.

Provide leadership/assist in the negotiation strategy of large tenders.

Monitor contract compliance with commercial requirements and with BHI policy and procedures.

Comprehensive knowledge of industry and customers, as well as BHI product lines/systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent negotiating skills.

Drilling Fluids Field or Sales experience a plus.
