DESCRIPTION:
Utilize Bentley AutoPlant and AutoCAD to design 3D models and 2D construction drawings for steel structures and modularized oil drilling facilities; utilize SAP for client documentation purposes, prepare reports and estimates, review specifications, plans, and construction schedules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
You will checks various designs, diagrams, drawings, etc. for compliance with applicable codes and specifications
You will designs fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design, client specifications and optimum utilization of machines and equipment.
You will designs field installations and recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
You will interpret complex vendor data or drawings for conformance with project requirements and initiates resolution of any problems.
You will proficiently operate Bentley AutoPlant and AutoCAD to generate complex 3D and 2D design drawings.
You will be proficient with SAP document control software.
You will analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements and related technical data pertaining to industrial machinery and equipment design.
You will provide technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties and process advantages and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS Civil Engineering or foreign equivalent.
Five years progressively responsible experience utilizing Bentley AutoPlant and AutoCAD to design 2D and 3D models for steel structures, including six months experience designing steel structures for modularized oil production facilities meeting Alaskan codes and suitable to the arctic environment.
One year experience utilizing SAP for client documentation purposes, preparing reports and estimates, and reviewing specifications, plans, and construction schedules.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of managers, client or employees of organization.
To perform this job successfully, an individual will hold extensive knowledge and will demonstrate proficiency in Bentley AutoPlant and AutoCAD, MS Word word processing software and MS Excel spreadsheet software.
