Job Description:
A. JOB SUMMARY

The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for leading, directing and conducting the company's sales and marketing functions within the Mid-Continent oilfield service environment. Champions the department's marketing requirements and provide direction and leadership to the department by encouraging the development of the staff.  

B. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Follows TES Inc.'s business objectives as outlined in the Business Management System (BMS).
    • Ensures compliance with the TES Competence Assurance System.
    • Performs duties according to the documented Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Management System, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Place Instructions, and HSSE policies.
    • Identifies target markets and manages all sales efforts, including daily activities of sales representatives located in the Mid-Continent area, client negotiations, sales functions, and monitoring of existing contracts.
    • Develops and carries out market plans (LONG TERM AND SHORT TERM) through an understanding of the market and product applications.
    • Provides technical support to internal & external customers.
    • Develops internal marketing & quoting policies for special Oil & Gas products.
    • Establishes and develops new or existing customers.
    • Contacts existing or potential customers to identify opportunities for growth, and develop a thorough market knowledge.
    • Maintains routine contact with key or target accounts within each product group
    • Establishes price lists and product quoting parameters and negotiates transfer price list with suppliers.
    • Ensures appropriate follow-up is performed on above average leads
    • Trains inside and outside sales staff.
    • Completes a routine review of product sales and progress according to the market plan.

D. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role supervises Wireline sales staff.

E. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field preferred with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience with open and cased-hole logging, perforating and log analysis experience within the Mid-Continent oilfield service environment.  Proven ability to effectively use existing contacts to increase market share while maintaining acceptable profitability.  A strong work ethic and natural team aptitude.  Supervisory or managerial experience or related accredited training.  Ability to display desired leadership behaviors.  Ability to deal with all personnel issues effectively.  Strong regard for high level customer service. Effective communication skills.

F. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in an office environment with controlled climate; occasionally must be able to work in various weather conditions.  Required to meet heavy deadlines.  Some travel may be required up to 65% to other office locations, customer sites, and attending seminars, conferences, etc.
