Position Summary
The welding faculty provides learning activities and support that lead to course objectives and contribute to the educational environment of the Lone Star College System and the community. Responsibilities include learning facilitation, personal and professional development. Primary functions are to plan, develop and teach courses within the curriculum that facilitates student learning.
Required Qualifications
10 years minimum experience as a journeyman welder
Proficient in Mig, Tig and Stick welding
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree or higher in Welding or Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
CWI certification Level II
At least 5 years related work experience. (oil and gas industry preferred)
At least 2 years in facilitating instruction in a classroom.
Salary
Commensurate with education and experience.
