SUMMARY:
Responsible for technical support and maintenance for all rigs in a district.
BASIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Demonstrate HSE leadership and the company's code of ethics, management systems, standards, policies and
procedures.
2. Supervise and direct all technical support including, PACE Technicians, Top Drive Technicians, Electricians and
Mechanics.
3. Work closely with the MyMaintenance Coordinator and Rig Superintendents to ensure our asset maintenance and inspection plan is implemented, work orders are closed on time, and unplanned repair and maintenance is minimized. Review overdue work orders and develop a plan to close work orders on a weekly basis. Ensure all procedures are updated as required.
4. Work closely with Rig Superintendents to dispatch support technicians to perform routine or emergency repair tasks as required.
5. Develop and maintain required critical spare parts for all equipment.
6. Hold weekly meetings with technicians, electricians and mechanics to review and document the previous week's activities and develop plan for the current week's activities.
7. Address concerns and provide viable solutions and alternatives for equipment issues, in close coordination with Engineering and OEM suppliers
8. Monitor rig down time and provide repairs/solutions to minimize down time. Accountable for district down time results
9. Provide reports to District Managers as required, including root cause failure analysis and closure reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess excellent written communication skills and working knowledge of window based computer systems.
Organized and have the ability to adhere to priorities and deadlines.
General knowledge of safety and environmental regulations/requirements.
Possess knowledge of oilfield equipment and supplies.
Capable of utilizing effective time management skills and meeting project deadlines.
Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Possess flexibility and the capacity to handle wide range of situations and personalities.
Demonstrate competency in business software packages such as Word, Excel, Access including charting, graphing and macros.
Able to travel as needed.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE:
► High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
► 5 years experience as an oilfield supervisor.
► Extensive electrical, mechanical or hydraulic experience with engineered drilling equipment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and talk and hear. The employee is required frequently to use hands and digits to handle or feel work material. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Lifting/carry up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 5 to 10 lbs daily. Must be able to use/wear applicable personal protective equipment which may include but is not limited to safety-toed foot wear (with ankle height support), back support belt, hearing protection, safety eye-wear with side shields, impact gloves and hard hat. May occasionally be required to wear approved/applicable respiratory protection equipment (respiratory protection guidelines would apply with regard to medical evaluation and fit testing of equipment). Frequent assent/decent of stairs/steps, especially at field locations. Must be able to respond quickly to an emergency situation.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, field locations may be at a high level whereby appropriate hearing protection may be required.
Building AC/Heating systems is a typical "closed loop" system.
Field locations may range in temperature of below zero (0) to above one hundred (100) degrees, depending upon time of year, with varying levels of humidity.
Field locations may be dusty, wet, or muddy depending upon weather conditions.
