Role Synopsis
The Research and Development Testing Supervisor will supervise and provide direct contributions to the research, identification, evaluation and initial development of new products.

Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)

• Supervises and works with the assembly, testing and troubleshooting of new Gilmore Valve products.
• Performs laboratory tests or other laboratory work using conventional and computerized machines and work aids within prescribed standards.
• Ensures accuracy and carries the accountability for quality of tests and test results within new product development (npd).
• Leads laboratory safety initiatives and ensures that equipment is operated safely and within operating parameters.
• Assists with the management of testing schedules and prioritizes experiments by level of importance.
• Assists with the planning of research and development proposals, such as objective or purpose of projects, applications that can be utilized from findings, cost of projects, and equipment and manpower requirements.
• Develops test procedures, equipment manuals, and documentation associated with equipment tested.
• Reviews source control drawings, specification control drawings and other applicable specifications to determine requirements and/or feasibility of product.

Qualifications
Education

Technical Associates degree required. Bachelor or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering degree highly preferred.

Experience

Essential

• Minimum five years of product testing, troubleshooting and assembly experience within the high pressure valve market.
• Experience influencing the development and implementation of test procedures, equipment manuals, and/or documentation associated with equipment testing.
• System response evaluation and flow testing experience.
• Experience assembling the instrumentation of valves.
