Job Description:
The Packaged Equipment Engineer will report to the Mechanical Team Lead Preferred candidate would have a B.Sc in Engineering and possess around 10 years of experience specifically relating to equipment packages associated with utility systems. Experience with water treatment systems in general would be viewed very favorably. In addition to this, a broad knowledge of package design and specification (equipment, piping, instrumentation & controls, etc.) is essential as well as being fully conversant with the relevant industry codes and standards. Familiarity with the relevant Australian codes, standards and/or regulatory requirements would be considered a plus as would commissioning and startup experience. Furthermore, major capital project experience, the ability to work in a multi-discipline company and contractor organization, strong interpersonal skill sets in a multi cultural team environment and the ability to work with minimal supervision would be highly regarded.
Responsibilities include:
• Company representative in Contractor's office as a member of a multi-functional project execution team responsible for interface with the engineering, procurement, operations and maintenance personnel (within the Company and Contractor teams) specifically relating to utility systems. The Mechanical Packaged Equipment Engineer will support the development of packaged equipment deliverables, including support of the coordination efforts for the downstream contractor.
• Review work done by the contractor. Identify key issues/risks and involve Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as needed. Coordinate the efforts of the SMEs, review datasheets/specification, RFQs, bid evaluations etc.
• Provision of direction to the downstream contractor in the design development/procurement of packaged equipment, preventative maintenance philosophy, equipment layouts and maintenance access.
• The Mechanical Packaged Equipment Engineer will provide continuity of discipline efforts through detailed design as well as assisting in any estimate, scheduling and project assurance activities. The Mechanical Packaged Equipment Engineer will also participate in Hazards & Operations Reviews (HAZOP), Vendor selection, Vendor documentation reviews, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT's).
• Commits to and champions the development and implementation of a safe working environment for everyone on the project and the continuing establishment of an incident and injury free culture.

Additional Comments:
Project: Wheatstone Downstream Project is an LNG plant planned to produce up to 10 MMTA of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in Australia and is currently in the EPC phase.
Travel: May be required to packaged equipment vendor offices/shops, project offices, module yards in the Asia Pacific region and the plant site.
