Job Description:

Our client, a UK based operator is urgently seeking a Project Engineer to work in their London offices, planning for a multi well drilling and testing program in North Africa. The planned start date is around the beginning of March 2012.
The successful candidate will:
- Assist in developing project plans for all major phases of asset development from opportunity identification through to production
- Prepare and maintain project plans covering activities, time, costs, commitments, manpower and other key milestones for all priority assets
- Track project costs and budget control, flag deviations and recommend mitigating actions
- Prepare monthly project cost reports and overall project progress reports
- Prepare audits and analyses of project costs and progress
- Help evaluate Contractor proposals with regard to scope of work, costs, activities and schedules
- Prepare project documentation required at the various project phases
The Key attributes for potential candidates are:
- Must have a wealth of experience managing projects which includes being well versed in the above tasks
- Must come from an engineering background or have some hands on engineering experience
- Experience in Drilling is a big bonus
- Previous work on North African assets will be an advantage
