 Leap29 are currently representing a reputable operating company in the search for a Deepwater Drilling Engineer.
Based in Kuala Lumpur you will report to the Senior Deepwater Drilling Engineer during planning and the Rig Superintendant during operations. You will be part of the JOC Well Engineering Team. As a Drilling Engineer you will be responsible for:
• Providing day-to-day operations support for offshore platform drilling operations.
• Preparing drilling programs and communicating them to the rig site staff.
• Managing third party drilling service providers prior to mobilization to ensure execution readiness of the given work scope.
• Identifying execution drilling risks and creating suitable contingency plans.
The successful candidate should have:
• Minimum of 6 years drilling experience with at least 2 years in a drilling operational/execution position.
• Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• A valid IWCF Supervisors Subsea Well Control certificate (or equivalent).
• Experience in deepwater drilling execution and planning.
• Knowledge in relevant well engineering skills such as well control, drilling operations and design, logistics and third party service provider management.
• Previous knowledge of the Malaysian drilling environment would be beneficial.
The candidate MUST have a visa, citizenship or equivalent to work in Malaysia.
