Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Attend applicable training on days off as required to acquire/renew applicable approval/qualification/certifications
Develop an understanding of and apply the fundamentals of:
Adult learning theories
Job/task analysis
Prepare, print and organize training materials for upcoming training to include, but not limited to: Student handouts, Student manuals, Course rosters, Tests, Practice tests, Wallet cards and certificates, Student course evaluations
Enter student data into applicable databases and spreadsheets and distribute information accordingly
Effectively deliver training material to employees with a wide range of education and experience levels
Maintain control of up to 30 employees in a classroom setting with a wide range of education and experience levels by utilizing Behavior Based Safety tools and techniques
Address student learning issues as required
Address disciplinary and safety issues in accordance with company policy
Administer and grade tests in accordance with applicable policies/procedures/guidelines/directives
Supervise hands-on practical exercises as required
Issue wallet cards and certificates to students who satisfactorily complete course requirements
Document, store and/or distribute completed course paperwork in accordance with applicable policies/procedures/guidelines/directives
Enter course completion data into individual students' electronic training file (Oracle data entry)
Assist other instructors with course development projects as required
Stay abreast of company policy changes that may affect training materials and presentations and make applicable changes
Assist other instructors with monitoring training expendables inventory and maintain adequate supplies
Conduct training equipment inspections as required and notify Sr. Instructor or Technical Training Supervisor of deficiencies or issues
Operates the Training Rig crane
Assist Training Rig PIC with PIC duties to include, but not limited to: Administrative responsibilities, Inspections, Planned and unplanned maintenance, Supervising new employee work tasks
Assumes PIC duties in the PIC's absence
