We are currently searching for Instruments Engineer to join huge international project.
Scope of work: design, engineering and construction of the petrochemical unit.
Responsible for the Instrument scope and reporting directly to Engineering Project Manager.
Work inside Project Management Team in order to produce FEED study documents for Russian Design Institute for future development to detailed phase of the project based on western design approach.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor work and overview performance by EPC contractors design: scope, technical quality, cost, schedule
• Developing and adopting the most cost-effective, fit-for purpose total project solution for the project.
• Monitoring the technical quality of engineering and design documents by doing spot-checks and participating in reviews, equipment and materials requisition, technical parts of contracts etc
• Prepare equipment and material specifications and data sheets, develop detailed engineering calculations and drawings including the preparation of the design basis document, Bill of Quantities, Block Diagrams, Equipment system specifications, cable routing, control room layouts, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, Functional Logic Diagrams, Terminations Diagrams, Installation Hook-up Drawings, Instrument Plot Plans, Control Panel Drawings, Control/Equipment Room Lay-outs, Cable Tray/Trench Lay-outs, Cable/Tubing Schedules and Cable Drum Schedules, JB schedules, Interconnection Schedules, Fire/Smoke Detection Lay-out and Alarm Lists and other design and layout calculations and drawings.
• Participate in the development of the project integrated schedule, and assessment of physical progress
• Ensure adequate discipline staffing, supervises assigned personnel
• Identification of, and compliance with, requirements of Project execution plans, regulations, PMT specifications and standards. Approval to deviations to PMT documents
• Implement Change management procedure. Reviews and approval of technical changes and related cost and schedule impacts
• Ensures coordination with other disciplines, with Procurement and Construction, and between Contractors for discipline issues
• Ensures proper reporting, highlighting critical issues to the Engineering Manager and proposing remedial actions.
Requirements:
• Higher education (technical) - Engineering Degree in the Instrument discipline.
• Expert knowledge in Instrument design technical discipline
• Experience in design and engineering > 8 years of related petrochemical experience preferable from a background in working for consultancy organizations in the EPC of the Oil and Gas Industry / Petrochemical Industry.
• Experience in projects (take part in project development, implementation and execution)
• Exposure to EPC environments.
• Must have understanding of typical petrochemical plant engineering deliverables such as PFD's, P&ID's, isometrics, instrument loop diagrams, electrical single line drawings etc
• Must have thorough knowledge of the process industry in order to complete system Cause & Effects matrices from P&IDs and similar for Fire & Gas Detection Systems. Must be able to carry out risk analysis evaluation and determine & recommend the applicable Safety Integrity Level (SIL) rating.
• Must have an in depth understanding of International Codes and Standards such as ANSI, ASME, BS, ASTM, API, GOST, SNIP etc. related to the discipline required.
