Department Overview:
As a key member of the Engineering & Pre-Projects team in International Exploration (IEX), you will work in a multidiscipline team environment with professional engineers, geoscientists and commercial analysts. You will use your skills and experience and be responsible for providing reservoir engineering support to Exploration and pre-development activities globally, in addition to supporting Talisman's evaluation of M&A opportunities when required. Some limited international travel will be expected
Position Overview:
* Provide specialist reservoir engineering support to multi-discipline teams and generate reservoir development plans, production forecasts and reserves estimates for prospect evaluations, business plan submissions and capital approvals for a wide variety of projects supporting a number of exploration teams globally.
* Provide reservoir engineering support for evaluation of acquisitions and farm-in opportunities for Talisman globally.
* Provide reservoir engineering support to the discovered resource review and the G&G and engineering assurance processes in IEX.
* Provide reservoir engineering support to early phase development projects, predominately for pre-Appraise/Appraise phase project, but also for subsequent project phases when required.
Qualifications:
* A minimum of B.Sc. degree in an engineering discipline
* 10+ years of reservoir engineering experience. Strong analytical reservoir engineering skills will be required, together with demonstrated competence in reservoir simulation
* Experience with a wide range of reservoir types, fluids and depletion mechanisms, including EOR, oil, gas, gas condensate, heavy oil, etc
* Ability to formulate and implement reservoir development strategies
* Some experience with drilling, completion, artificial lift, facilities, DST and PTA is an advantage
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that will enable you to effectively interact with cross-functional team members to advance projects and ideas
* A self starter, capable of working independently and as part of a dynamic team
* Effective skills in interacting and communicating with Senior Management
* Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
