Job Description:
This profitable and efficient Coal producer is looking for an Exploration Geologists to join the team.

My client is a well respected American company who currently have a number of booming projects overseas.

They are looking for an exceptional Exploration Geologists to be based out of Dallas, Texas.

The Exploration Geologist will be involved in the daily implementation of the company's exploration strategy.  This involvement will take the form of collection and the supervision of collection of field data, modification and implementation of sampling and drilling programmes.

The supervision and training of junior geologists and field assistants so that they have the skills and knowledge to work safely and accurately.

Adherence to OH&S and environmental standards and enforcing the standards will be expected.

The position will have knowledge of remote exploration procedures, have demonstrated an ability to work with and train a developing team

The key responsibilities of this position are to:

    Provide leadership and guidance to graduate and junior staff.
    Ensure data is collected in a manner that is both accurate and complies with database requirements and guidelines.
    Ensure the companies Environmental Management Plan and OH&S polices are adhered to.
    Daily supervision of ongoing drilling programs.
    Planning and modification to drillhole locations and depths as required.
    Supervision of the exploration programme including RC, diamond and geotechnical drilling, Rock chip sampling, earth moving equipment and field assistants.
    It will be necessary to be hands on and be directly involved in the collection of data and logging of drill holes. Mentoring and training of junior/graduate and national geologists along with validation of data before it is dispatched to database controller
    You must have at least 5+ years experience.
