Job Description:

    -  5-7 years onshore exploration experience.
    -  2-4 years with US shale projects in several basins, with operational field experience.
    -  Understand the special aspects of US shale gas, including geology, desorption analysis, gas saturation, petrophysics, geophysics, porosity and fracturing mechanics.
    -  Able to relate geological deposition and tectonic stresses over time to production of US shales.
    -  Comfortable with uncertainty and risks in evaluating prospects.
    -  Familiar with available support services, such as laboratories, consultants and research institutes.
    -  Understand the proper procedures for establishing gas content and OGIP.
    -  Familiar with reservoir engineering and operations to work productively as part of a multi-disciplinary US shale team.
    -  Proficient in Petra and ArcGis software, with a working knowledge of Petrel and SMT Kingdom.
    -  Working knowledge of Landmark StratWorks, SeisWorks, IHS EDIN-GIS and ProbE is preferred.        

Responsibilities:

    -  General data preparation, such as well log, map and seismic.
    -  Work with GIS software and geochemical/petrophysical data.
    -  Maintain country databases; prepare reports and slides.
    -  Interpretation and planning for US shale projects. Involvement in reserves estimation.
    -  Collaboration with other disciplines such as reservoir engineering, well engineering and facilities engineering

Bachelors Degree in Geology or Geophysics preferred.
This is an employee position with an excellent benefit package in Dallas, Texas, with 5 weeks paid vacation per year.
Must be eligible to work in the US.
