JOB SUMMARY:

Crowley is looking for a Project Controller to create project plans and monitor and track progress and costs on a wide variety of marine projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primarily responsible for planning and monitoring marine transportation and offshore construction projects, with specific responsibilities being the development of project budgets, project schedules, tracking progress and monitoring of trends, and project cost control. Performs sub-contractor solicitation review and analysis, develops proposal plans, creates outlines and subcontractor RFPs, and prepares solicitation questions. Conducts complex studies, prepares reports, develops strategic models, identifies key performance drivers, and advises on feasibility, cost- effectiveness, and regulatory conformance. Reviews and evaluates material, such as daily project logs, daily burn rates, schedule updates, project inventory reports, budget or staffing estimates and compiles the information in the project management systems.  Organizes and analyzes data from all sources, using statistical methods to ensure validity of results.

Employees are accountable to management and each other to ensure every task is done safely in accordance with Management Systems or business unit procedures with the objective of continuously improving our processes.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

Minimum 5 years related experience. Requires experience in developing project libraries preferably in SharePoint, MS Project, and highly skilled in MS Excel. Credible and effective at project execution. Must possess skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives.  Requires the ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope.

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or engineering preferred.

All Crowley positions require proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.  Some positions may also include proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Primarily an office environment but may be outside in conditions of varying temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment and conditions. Extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to work long hours and travel as required (up to 10% or more). Must comply with all work rules, including those that pertain to safety and health.
