JOB FUNCTION / DUTIES (May be assigned other duties by management)
Examine and analyze accounting records for purposes of preparing statements and reports.
Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies. (Sales Tax and Property Tax)
Audit and proof accounting of Fixed Assets to include but not restricted to: review of AFE requests, obtaining proper approval before issuing AFE #'s, and following thru from inception to completion to ensure accurate and timely handling of each AFE.
Cost Accounting; product line analysis, margin review, inventory average cost research.
May perform any accounting function; payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, collections, budgets, financial planning, general accounting, billing, etc.
Assist with month-end and year-end close process.
Review and prepare journal entries, analyze results, and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure financial statements are complete, accurate, and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Assist in working with external and internal auditors to enable timely execution of their audit/review procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Office and/or company specific databases.
Good oral and written communication and analytical skills.
Must be able to work well with stringent deadlines and possess good organizational skills.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent years of directly related experience.
5-7 years of Accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Experience must include FIXED ASSETS
