Job Description:
The Senior Subsea Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring subsea systems are fit for purpose and the installation, testing and operation go smoothly. He will look at this form an operational point of view. Requires site attendance to ensure the proposed equipment layouts are suitable and any obstructions are identified and resolved. Additionally if needed he Identifies missing parts and equipment to order, identifies and resolves interfaces between equipment and systems.  Responsible for following Equipment: Choke Manifold, BOP, BOP Handling System, Drill String Compensator, Riser System, Diverter, Buoyancy, high pressure air vessels, BOP stack and MUX Controls.

Pre-requisites:

    • Knowledge of drilling industry and oilfield equipment. Work experience with drilling and intimate familiarity with    applicable codes.  
    • Must be self-motivated and work well together as a team. Should posses a good safety attitude and be able to identify hazards and rectify the same. Must be able to suggest the best way forward and do so with a sense of urgency and highest ethical standards without sacrificing on accuracy and professional engineering practices.  
    • Acts in consultation with the OIM, Maintenance Supervisor and Subsea Superintendent to reach sound technical decisions concerning structural integrity and details of rigs.

Minimum Competencies:

    • 2 years' experience as a Subsea Engineer with similar equipment.
    • Well Control Certificate at the supervisor's level.
    • Advanced Safety knowledge
    • Must be able to use a calculator to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
    • Advanced knowledge of subsea equipment.
    • Advanced knowledge of subsea pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
    • Technical screening/interview by the appropriate subject matter expert.
    • Must pass pre-employment screening, which includes a pre-hire test, drug test, background check, and physical  assessment.

Must be US citizen or have legal right to work in US.  Must reside in US.
