Job Description:
Sr.Engineer, Facility Integrity needed immediately for a leader in crude and natural gas transportation, gathering, and processing. This is a permanent opportunity in Houston Texas.

Responsibilities

    • Managing the Company's internal corrosion prevention and mitigation program for all onshore and offshore oil and gas gathering and transmission pipelines within Gas Transportation
    • Evaluate, revise and provide expertise of internal corrosion prevention practices and procedures within the Company Corrosion Control Manual
    • Assist with managing the internal corrosion prevention and mitigation programs in place and provide expertise in establishing those programs in other areas where needed
    • Monitor and take steps to improve the progress of the Operations teams regarding corrosion prevention and leak reduction
    • Assist with managing the internal corrosion chemical program including acting as liaison between the Chemical vendor and Operations, including responsibility for administering the chemical budget.
    • Conduct basic corrosion tests (bacteria, water sampling, gas sampling and coupons) and corrosion data gathering

Requirements

    • University Degree in Corrosion Engineering or Chemistry with a minimum ten (10) years of progressive experience in corrosion engineering, project management and pipeline operations
    • NACE Certified ADVANCED Internal Corrosion Specialist
    • Expertise in internal and external coatings, internal corrosion and the evaluation, monitoring and mitigation
    • Expertise in internal corrosion and external corrosion direct assessment
    • Expertise in regulatory compliance, specifically 49 CFR Part 192, 49 CFR Part 195 and TAC 8.101
    • Excellent computer and analytical problem solving abilities
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and management
