 An Oil & Gas consultancy with a central London office, as well as other offices around the globe. They have an excellent working environment and provide their staff with a superb benefits package with the opportunity to earn a significant bonus on top of their salary.
The role will be to evaluate and develop the assets of clients through the use of seismic interpretation and other geophysical techniques. This is achieved by working closely with your team and other disciplines in the organisation. The company have a diverse number of clients and you will be exposed to a variety of different geological areas. You will be able to evaluate and develop assets through the implementation of geophysical techniques. This will be achieved working in close co-operation with geologists, reservoir engineers and drilling engineers. The role will involve exposure to all phases of the asset life cycle from exploration to abandonment.
You require in terms of experience you require;
- 10 years + experience in a similar role gained either in a producer or service company.
- An ability to evaluate and develop assets through the implementation of geophysical techniques.
- An ability to evaluate geological and geophysical data
-To quality control well and seismic data and propose additional work, reprocessing or acquisition of new data or special studies as required
-Interpretation of structure, stratigraphy, paleogeography, lithology and fluid fill from seismic reflectivity and acoustic impedance data with relevant attribute extractions and cubes such as coherency, dip and frequency
-Modelling seismic and attribute data to aid interpretation or support proposals for further studies
-Provision of input for static and dynamic modelling studies and the planning and positioning of wells
-Evaluation and quantification of uncertainty and risk
-Participation in peer reviews and share knowledge and skills with the organisation
-Experience of standard industry interpretation, mapping and modelling software, preferably including some of Petrel, RMS, GoCad, Zmap, SeisWorks, Promax, Geoprobe, with a thorough understanding of background theory
-Solid background in all areas of 2D/3D seismic interpretation, subsurface mapping, structural geology, salt tectonics and sequence stratigraphy
-Knowledge and/or experience of co-ordinate systems, acquisition and processing, multi-component seismic gravity and magnetics, petroacoustics, data inversion and modelling
