 This company is one of the world's leaders in subsea engineering and technology for oil and gas. Due to their continued success they require a talented Senior Welding and Materials Engineer for their team in Aberdeen, working on cutting-edge projects in deepwater locations.
You will work within the Welding and Materials group, providing specialist skills and knowledge for high-profile clients. Specifically this will include:
• Provision of specialist knowledge and expertise to organisation including reviewing Welding and Materials procedures in connection to Spools, Manifolds, Towheads etc
• Problem solving to provide solutions to the organisation in relation to Welding and Materials
• Providing Technical support of procurement activities including provision of specifications and resolution of technical issues
• Liaison with client and Inspection Verification Body and technical authorities
• Liaison with other discipline leads as part of dedicated project teams
• Identification and control of discipline specific project budgets
All applicants must be degree qualified in a relevant discipline, and have a track record within similar roles in offshore oil and gas. You should ideally have knowledge of BS4515 and DNV-OSF101
