Job Description:
|
Process engineer needed with experience in crude oil and refined product terminals - storage tanks, booster pumps, truck load-out facilities or loading racks, fire water systems, barge & ship loading arms.
Job functions will include:
Significant design responsibilities, engineering calculations, studies, detailed design, report writing, field investigations and assist lower level engineers
Interacts with Project Managers, other engineers, and directs designers and drafters to ensure project completion
Responsible for the technical content and quality of the work, and adherence to schedules and budgets for the assigned task or project
Selects and applies engineering principles and concepts in engineering discipline with some working knowledge of other related disciplines
Responsible for reporting on work progress
Provides input to the Project Execution Plan
Performs most tasks with minimal supervision
Regular interaction with clients, vendors and contractors
Responsible for following corporate safety protocols
Conforms to and utilizes established design and quality standards for project deliverables
Follows direction and supports efforts of Project Manager and project teams
Responsible for effectively communicating project related information to Project Manager and appropriate project team members
Helps to establish the project design basis
Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in technical subjects
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrates intermediate ability to work with various engineering software packages in standalone or network configurations
Possesses intermediate technical skills and understanding of interdisciplinary design processes
Ability to organize and prioritize workload for self and others
Salary DOE
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university required
FE (EIT) is preferred
Typically five to eight years related engineering experience
PE preferred
Ability to work with engineering software packages a plus
Microsoft Office experience required
Environment/Working Conditions:
Most work to be performed in office environment with periodic visits to project sites and/or short term field assignments
Some travel required
Qualifications: Chemical,Mechanical,or Petroleum Engineering Degree w/5 plus years exp.
