To lead the accelerated development of national technician trainees from 'apprentice' level through to competent stand-alone production and maintenance technicians. Deliver and drive continuous improvement supporting business ?objectives for coaching, assessing & development through attainment of CMAS ( Competency Management Assurance System) targets.

Reporting Line
Line manager of the Offshore Technician Assurance Team is the TA&D ( Technician Assurance and Deployment ) Team Leader (TL) for the setting of core accountabilities and priorities within the My Plan system. The TA&D TL will set annual targets for development progression of National technicians and the Offshore Technician Assurance Team will be responsible for delivery of ?these targets.
On a day to day basis the Offshore Technician Assurance Team will work alongside the installation management team ?to support delivery of the offshore Nationalization agenda in embedding the common process, ensuring opportunities for exposure to tasks and equipment are maximized, experiences recorded and tracked and competency assessments are targeted and completed.
Existing coaches will continue in their current role, i.e. coaching & assessing technicians. A primary role of the dedicated Offshore Technician Assurance Team is to lead, assist and drive CI (Continuous Improvement) within this process.
Knowledge and Skills
Considered to be a Subject Matter Expert for their discipline. An experienced technician with demonstrated 'hands on' technical ability but equally with a keen interest and talent for teaching and coaching in a multicultural environment. Will not be expected to get involved in the actual execution of day to day work on the platform but time at the worksite with technicians will be fundamental to the success of the role.

Position Requirements
University Degree

10 plus years of Offshore Petroleum industry experience. 5 plus years experience as a coach and assessor for Technicians. Experienced in Control of Work processes. Microsoft Office programs - advanced user?
