ELECTRO MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN - MIDLAND, TX

US Land Drilling product line offers directional drilling and formation evaluation expertise through our worldwide service organization. Real-time drilling and evaluation services help oil companies drill more efficiently, evaluate geologic formations, and place wells in productive zones within the reservoir. Important technologies include INTEQ's automated rotary steerable directional drilling systems, high performance drilling motors, and integrated logging-while- drilling assemblies.

ROLE SYNOPSIS

As an Electro Mechanical repair and maintenance tech with Baker Hughes you will be able to assist in preventing procedural mistakes in the early phases and prevent any unnecessary failures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITYIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Test, assemble, disassemble and perform visual inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Assist in reworking, repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of electro mechanical experience - relevant industrial experience (airline, military, oilfield, automotive, car/home audio repair and installation, electronics repair, computer hardware technician).
  • Basic skills on soldering and assembling of electro/mechanical devices.
  • Basic computer skill in order to document and track the work


DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in the use of multimeters, meggers, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices

OTHER DETAILS

  • This position will require you to have a flexible schedule, work mandatory overtime and be on a rotating weekend on-call schedule
