Job Title: Artificial Lift System Field Specialist
Position based in Midland, TX
US Land Lift Systems product line provides artificial lift systems, including electric submersible pumps (ESP) and progressive cavity pump systems, as well as specific engineering, project management and well monitoring services. Centrilift ESP systems can operate in harsh downhole environments that include high gas-to-oil ratio production, heavy oil, high temperatures and abrasive-laden fluids. New systems also address the needs of coal bed methane and subsea production.
Role Synopsis
Under minimal supervision performs installation/pulling of complex Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) systems and associated equipment in oil and water wells. May be required to act as team leader. Monitors, trouble shoots and tests downhole ESP equipment including Downhole Monitoring Tools in order to maximize well productivity and ESP run life. Assists with the set up and start up of Centrilift Motor Controllers and VSD's. Handles special projects, as assigned. Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Assembles, disassembles, installs and pulls ESP equipment.
- Assists with monitoring, trouble shooting and testing downhole ESP equipment in order to maximize well productivity and ESP run life.
- Handles special projects as assigned.
- May be required to work unsupervised.
- Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of Field Service Experience with Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP)
- Knowledge of assembly and disassembly of ESP
- Pull and installation experience with ESP
- Trouble shooting surface electrical equipment experience
- Ability to be on call and work holidays and weekends when needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate computer skills for tracking and documentation
- Two year technical degree preferred
- Good Functional / Technical, Customer Focus, Communication, Interpersonal, and Team working Skills.
Other Details
- This is a field role requiring extensive daily travel up to approximately 150 mile radius of targeted area.
