- Responsible for using drilling experience and product knowledge to maximize bit and/or coring performance while drilling.
- Evaluates operating parameters and recommends possible changes to improve performance.
- Evaluates and analyzes wear of the bit when bit is pulled up out of hole at rig site.
- Supervision of all coring operations, provide coring expertise to the customer representatives at wellsite.
- Ensure that the coring operations are run in a safe and efficient manner.
- Document and provide appropriate coring paperwork e.g. Core Logs, Coring BHA's and Field Reports and JSA Sheets.
- Rig up and make up of the coring assembly.
- Holding Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Toolbox talks before the commencement of every part of the coring operation.
- Running the coring assembly into the hole. Cutting the core. Documenting coring depths, coring parameters and time taken to core each foot.
- Retrieving the core and core recovery operations.
- Providing accurate core run information. Experience in running Conventional Core Barrel system.
Education / Experience & Skill Requirement
- Two year Technical Degree preferred. Industry experience and product line training required.
- Develop and demonstrate proficiency in the skill profile required for the delivery of Coring Systems services at the well site.
- Successfully complete additional advanced technical training and assigned well site development programs.
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills; excellent customer awareness.
- Ability to relate to well site personnel at all levels, strong team member, and demonstrate leadership capability.
- Thorough understanding of Drill Bits products, services, rig activities and drilling processes.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
