• Assist and relieve the Driller as directed by the Driller and/or Rig Superintendent
• Organize and supervise the drilling crews for all operations as directed by the Driller
• Operate draw works and other equipment and tools on the drill floor as directed by the Driller or Rig Superintendent
• Confirm measurements of casing and total depth with Driller and Rig Superintendent
• Coordinate running and testing of casing, wellhead equipment and BOP stack with Driller, Rig Superintendent and Customer  Representative
• Assist in taking special deviation surveys for directional driller
• Assist in well testing as directed by the Customer Representative, Driller and Rig Superintendent
• Assist in directing BOP drills while using good drilling and well control practices
• Secure well in emergency situation in coordination with the Driller, Rig Superintendent and Customer Representative
• Assist securing rig for a rig move
• Maintain communication with control room as necessary
• Make up part of emergency crew performing duties as required by station bill or as otherwise directed
• Assist in managing periodic inspection and lubrication of topdrive, drawworks, rotary, swivels and other associated drilling equipment
• Maintain and complete IADC drilling report as directed by the Driller and/or Rig Supt
• Maintain drilling logs and records as directed by the Driller and/or Rig Supt
• Assist in the maintenance of the derrick or mast and associated equipment
• Manage maintenance of drilling fluids and coordinate with Mud Engineer as directed by the Customer Representative, Driller and/or Rig Supt
• Plan work for drill crew as directed by the Driller and ensure appropriate tools are ready for use
• Supervise compliance with safety policies and procedures and ensure good housekeeping practices, including assisting in safety meetings and completion of JRAs
• Communicate effectively, actively listen
• Provide assistance to other departments during non-drilling operations
• Assist Driller in training drillcrew
• Reinforce safety regulations to ensure safe work practices of the rig
• Perform various well calculations
• Interpret and respond to downhole conditions as directed
• Demonstrate knowledge of Well Control Procedures
• Direct and / or assist in other operations
