Job Description:
|
Our client is a global upstream Oil & Gas company with significant interests in the UKNS.
They have a requirement for an experienced Operations Reservoir Engineer to join their Subsurface team in Aberdeen.
You will play a key role in the management of day-to-day field operations and optimisation of reservoir / well performance.
• Monitor daily production and ensure that reservoirs and wells are performing as expected. Investigate and resolve any anomalies.
• Work with the operations group(s) to agree short term production strategy and targets, monitor performance against agreed targets and help manage production "losses".
• Understand and control reservoir displacement processes to help optimise the economic recovery.
• Ensure all fields and wells produce to their peak potential - continuously review fields and well performance and identify opportunities.
• Develop and maintain an artificial lift strategy, and a process for optimising the artificial lift systems adopted. Ensure the strategy is communicated, understood and applied by the operations group(s).
• Identify, justify and promote opportunities to improve production and/or reduce costs by optimisation of artificial lift systems, sweep pattern alterations, well interventions or other means.
• Support other groups to justify and implement opportunities (e.g. facilities upgrades).
• Develop and maintain a full-life well management strategy for all wells.
• Develop data acquisition programmes to monitor reservoir performance to verify reservoir management strategy.
• Provide information to help identify business opportunities and reduce risk.
Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams involved in field development, including operational aspects is required.
• Petroleum/Reservoir engineering experience within Oil & Gas Operating companies
• UKCS experience
