REPORTING LINE
The Houston DP Instructor will report directly to the Area Manager, Americas
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Houston DP Instructor will be required to:
Provide DP Induction and Simulator training courses in accordance with Nautical Institute requirements
Provide specialized courses to include but not limited to DP familiarization, DP audit, sensors and power systems
Develop instructor/student material for all courses
Interface with other L-3 schools on customer, standards and equipment issues
Generate plans and budgets for training center operation and improvements
Generate training center reports including student intake as required by management Interface with the Nautical Institute and other regulatory bodies to ensure training compliance
Provide recommendations to management on business development issues such as marketing campaigns related to Training activities.
LOCATION
Houston, Texas
Occasional requirement to visit and perform training from overseas locations e.g. Brazil, Singapore
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Degree in education, marine engineering, controls or similar.
Experience with commercial, corporate and or manufacturing training systems.
Meets NI Instructor requirements (Certified DPO, Credentialed Marine officer, Professional Maritime Training background). Drilling experience a plus.
Strong computer skills specifically Microsoft Office programs.
