To manufacture various types of parts using the appropriate machinery available.
Typically, production would be done on either CNC or Manual equipment. Operations to be performed would include turning, drilling, boring, threading, grooving, etc.
Production would conform to a supplied blueprint and is done using recognized machining practices. Parts are required to be properly deburred and fit, and supplied gauges are used for measurement.
Quality and conformity are to be maintained throughout every job. First article inspection by the QC department is a mandatory part of every job. Forklifts and cranes may need to be operated occasionally to move material.
Where applicable, basic to moderate levels of CNC program editing skills are required and/or moderate operating skills on Manual equipment.

·         Horizontal Boring Mill
·         Horizontal Machine Centers
·         Manual Lathe

·         Know procedures for correcting some deviations of machined parts to conform to proper specifications.
·         Knows how to operate a partial range of applicable machinery available, CNC or Manual.
·         Can do some optimization of feed and speed rates for most efficient cutting on some types of materials.  
·         Has moderate mathematic skills and can accurately use most available types of measuring equipment and gauges.
·         Understand shop practices and safety regulations applicable to work.

·         EDUCATION:  High school or equivalent, technical school preferred.
·         EXPERIENCE:  Minimum 3-5 years experience as a machinist with set-up and editing.
·         Experience with various machines and controls.
