 This position will report to the Marketing Contract Services Manager and will be responsible for the planning and analysis of the following commodities: Crude Oil; Condensate; Natural Gas Liquids; Natural Gas. The position will interact internally with marketing personnel. 1. Planning and analysis (pricing, volume, logistics) for all of Marathon's Equity and third party purchased production. 2. This function requires significant communication/coordination between marketing; contracts administration and accounting personnel. In addition, this provides operations support and expertise to various people within Marathon such as midstream, marketing and production planning teams.
3. Establish and maintain a working relationship with Production Revenue Accounting personnel in order to extract accounting recorded pricing and volume data for Marathon commodities. 4. Participate in yearly Budget analysis by providing forecasts as requested by senior management 5. Provide analytical assistance (including but not limited to pricing, volume and logistics) to Crude Traders and Commercial Marketing & Property Development Representatives and Crude Oil Marketing Managers. 6. Provide analytical assistance (including but not limited to pricing, volume and logistics) to Natural Gas and NGL Traders, Commercial Marketing & Property Development Representatives and Natural Gas Managers 7. Prepare Management PowerPoint presentations for Oil & Gas Marketing personnel.
Degree: Bachelors Required Major Discipline: Business, Accounting, Finance, or Marketing preferred Years Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years experience in Production, Transportation, Refining, logistics or Marketing related activities and minimum of 3 years experience in oil and gas. Travel Required (%): less than 10% Intermediate skill level in Marathon's core computer applications (MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) is required. SAP R3 and SAP Business Warehouse experience is preferred. Proficiency in PowerPoint is a key requirement for Day 1 responsibilities. Prior experience with commodity trading, scheduling and contract systems is preferred
