Our client, a major specialty chemical company, is seeking Buyer to join their team in Wilmington, DE.
Seeking someone who is analytical, a team player and has great communication skills. Typical project work would include:
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and track bids, fabrication, ship date and delivery along with other procurement related activities
- Communicate with suppliers and project team accurate information in a timely fashion
- Develop tracking systems to manage purchases for large capital projects
- Develop quotes, go out for bids and select suppliers for award
- Create and cut PO's
- Build and work within SAP
Qualifications:
? College degree preferred or equivalent work experience
? 10+ years working in a manufacturing or process industries
? Project experience in capital projects
? Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
? Ability to work independently in a challenging environment
? Proven critical/analytical problem solving skills
? Self-motivated, energetic team player with business acumen
? Ability to travel and work at other site locations
Experience and Skills Preferred:
? SAP or other ERP procurement system experience a plus
? Written English and Spoken English
? MS Office Software (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
? Background in process industry work experience
