Job Description:

Taking full advantage of our worldwide presence, operational excellence, and research and development capabilities, we focus on mud logging and field surveillance.

We are currently looking for candidates to join us as Mud Loggers to support our US Land Operations.

Job Description:

    • Logs the rock formation samples from the drilled cuttings at the well site, monitors the well parameters and maintains sensors and gas equipment.
    • Assisting with and have direct responsibility for, the effective management of the mud logging unit, including personnel and equipment.
    • Assisting other well site personnel and the drilling operation by monitoring and recording drilling parameters, drilling fluid properties and pumping parameters,
    • Providing primary well control surveillance by plotting pressure trends.
    • Logging information on the rock formations being drilled by describing geological cuttings and monitoring gas shows.

Job Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree in Geology or Petroleum Engineering preferred
    • 1+ years experience in Mud Logging.
    • Aptitude to absorb a wide range of technical information including geology, chemistry, mechanics, electricity, electronics and computer science.
    • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
    • Have a practical and proactive approach.
    • Flexible and ability to spend extended periods of time on rotational schedule working in the field.
    • Experience in Austin Chalk, Eagelford Shale or Marcellus Shale a plus.
