Requirements:
Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University Registered with a Canadian Professional Engineering Association and eligible for A.P.E.G.G.A. registration.
Experience in oil and gas production and supply facilities, large petrochemical plants or a refinery is preferred. Past experience from power generation, mining or other heavy industrial sector will also be considered Ability to work in a multi-discipline team setting, have good communication and analytical/problem solving skills, and be able to work in a schedule driven challenging environment. Minimum 15 years experience in EPC Electrical Engineering Direct lead experience on large projects
Duties and Responsibilities: Leads a team of Electrical Engineers, Designers and CAD personnel in the successful execution of electrical engineering and design for projects within budget and on schedule. Prepares electrical engineering budgets and schedules. Aware of technical issues and costs related to selection of complex design features.
Experience in multi-discipline work environment. Effectively manage resources on the project to ensure work is completed on time and within budget. Provides technical leadership and guidance for the electrical team. Ensures effective communication within and between project disciplines, and with client engineers. Tracks project metrics.
Assists the Chief Electrical Engineer in functional matters Reports to Project Engineering Manager for project issues, and to the Overall Electrical Lead, or Chief Electrical Engineer, as applicable, for functional issues.

Proven track record of leading large teams, on large and technically complex projects. Ability to manage large and complex technical scopes, budgets, schedules, resources and reporting systems Sound technical knowledge of various electrical systems, and good understanding of other disciplines Excellent communication skills
