OVERVIEW:
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position will be charged with the responsibility of conducting and documenting moderate to complex financial and operational analysis of purchases and reports then analyzes the financial transactions executed monthly in various client projects, both current and future. Attends, participates and presents analysis at higher level meetings and is able to support the logic behind the reported data by using reports, charts or oral format as required. Utilize knowledge of operations and financial processes and their interrelationships to act as an analytical resource for management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Key Work Experiences/Education:
• College Degree (Bachelors Level).
• Excellent at engaging and dealing with people at all levels in an organization.
• Solid experience in facilitating workshops.
• Familiar with elicitation and documentation of business processes.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Have the ability to research and evaluate product information.
• Conduct detailed analysis to ensure best cost and performance options are considered, and recommend best practice design alternatives to systems and project teams.
• Demonstrate ability to define and implement new systems and procedures.
• Knowledge of the oil and gas industry would be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and in a cross-team environment.
• Creative problem solving skills.
• Be professionally active.
• Strong Financial skills, people skills, computer skills and demonstrates knowledge of local and state regulations
• High degree of attention to detail;
• Strong analytical & problem solving skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Proficiency in spreadsheet, word-processing applications and trade capture systems;
• Demonstrate ability to work in an extremely dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
• Significant discretion, evaluation and creative thinking is required.
Technical/Functional competencies required for selection:
• Manage and synthesize external and internal data in order to develop and/or make decisions on business strategy. Prepare and report results of analysis and present as needed.
• Work closely with the relevant account managers to prepare for bi-annual and annual reviews with key customers and identify opportunities and issues to ensure effective engagement with the customers.
• Participate actively in the strategic planning processes by contributing new ideas and assessing opportunities to support growth both domestically and internationally.
• Manage and organize intelligence documents. Create and manage a knowledge management system for all customer and market information to be shared effectively across the group and business development staff.
• Responsible for coordinating and integrating intelligence from a variety of internal and external sources, identifying gaps, and ensuring the timely flow of intelligence to management and regions.
• Ensure that market intelligence from external sources is being effectively archived and utilized and that it meets the unique needs of Management.
• Key requirements will be to (a) focus this intelligence flow on only the key relevant issues for each business and region (b) effectively archive this information for future access
• Establish positive working relationships with colleagues across the organization
