Baker Hughes' Reservoir Development Services (RDS) has an opening for a Field Development Asset Manager supporting RDS Field Development and Operations in the Western Hemisphere, based in Houston. RDS serves the oil & gas industry in developing reservoir-driven solutions covering the full asset life cycle, from the earliest phases of project development through abandonment. Our global teams in Aberdeen, London, Delft, Dubai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Perth, Calgary, Buenos Aires, and Houston work diligently to find and maximize asset value; increase production and recovery factors; define, optimize and execute field development plans and analyze acquisition and divestiture options. The Field Development organization is focused on entering into Oil & Gas Field Development/Rejuvenation service agreements with large upside potential, leveraging BHI's Oil Field Services market position and utilizing BHI's vast technological capabilities, experience and talent in the areas of field development and field management, while addressing the client's bottom line. Our Field Development team is quickly expanding its global operations and is now seeking talented and motivated professionals to join our dynamic organization.
Description: The successful candidate will be able to help identify and evaluate opportunities that combine the company's downhole technical expertise and its oil field products and services with the right field operations management skills to be competitive in securing the management of a field production optimization business for Baker Hughes. The candidate must be familiar with oil and gas field management operations that include operations field startup readiness processes and all aspects of production operations including downhole and surface facilities. Key Responsibilities: · Project/Asset management experience or involvement. · Knowledge management and a degree of expertise in technical service contracts, fiscal analysis and all phases of production operations, including downhole and surface facility elements. · Locate and interact with partners as necessary for new ventures. · Manage, review and run an opportunity evaluation of an operating asset to determine value and risks prior to securing. · Participate technically and commercially in evaluations as necessary. · Lead/participate in negotiations and discussions with government entities. · Liaise with Product Lines to be able to determine the value advantages in an opportunity. · Interact with GeoMarkets to generate the proper relationship required to secure a new opportunity working as a team. · Pursue proper knowledge in all products and services available within BHI to optimize the value being offered in engaging an opportunity. Skill Requirements: · Broad knowledge of the oil and gas business from reservoir to burner tip. · Awareness of the different types of fiscal contracts as well as standard terms and conditions. · Familiar with energy accounting under COPAS (US) and AIPN (INTL) accounting rules and terms. · Expert level of competence to use production management tools and software to evaluate prospects and track project progress. · Broad knowledge of GG&E, reservoir and facilities software used to analyze prospects. · Broad knowledge of Oil and Gas property economics. · In depth knowledge of decline curve analysis. · Broad knowledge of Risk Management through insurance, legal and commercial terms. · Exposure to Joint Operating Partners. · Able to interact at a senior level within partner or client companies. · Expert-levels of relationship-based selling and negotiation skills. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. · Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely and cost effective manner. · Ability and willingness to travel in searching for, securing and maintaining opportunities. · Effective leadership skills. Education/Experience: · Bachelor's degree required. · 10+ years of industry experience in oil and gas field production operations or asset management, preferably with an operator. Otherwise 20+ years of general oil field experience. · Knowledge of exploration and production, drilling and completions and surface facilities business segments preferred.
