JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for managing a large refinery turnaround, including crude distillation, hydrotreating for naphtha and distillate, reforming for high-octane gasoline production, fluid catalytic cracking unit, an isomerization unit to increase the octane of other gasoline streams that enhance high-octane gasoline production, and an alkylation unit to convert produced LPGs back into gasoline.. The PM will coordinate with engineering and operations personnel in the successful completion of this project. Provides technical support, leadership, and oversight for turnaround project, and ensures that all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and government requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Must be able to manage multi-million dollar projects of varying magnitude and complexity
• Must be able to develop project scopes, estimate project costs, and prepare funding requests.
• Must be proficient in developing project budgets and tracking and controlling costs.
• Must be able to prepare bid requests and evaluate such based on sound engineering and business principles.
• Must maintain knowledge and ability to apply engineering standards as they relate to the specific project.
• Must be able to handle assignments and projects with minimal supervision and complete within acceptable times
• Must be capable of providing equipment specifications per company standards and order appropriate materials
• Must have broad knowledge of refinery operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years of project management experience for refinery turnaround projects
• 15+ years of project engineering experience preferred
• Experience managing EPC's preferred
• Strong working knowledge of P&ID, permitting process, HAZOP, and HSE experience is required
• BS in Engineering
