 Our Client- Our client is a progressive IPP in Asia. Their assets ranged from traditional fossil fuel power plants to renewable developments. Currently they are on a strategic expansion drive to develop new projects in China / South East Asia region.
Job Description- The incumbent is responsible for the planning, co-ordination and control of all technical and operational aspects of the projects from inception through commercial operations in order to minimize the investment risk. The incumbent will work closely with the Business Development Team during the project development phase through financial closing and with the Joint Venture/Project Company (JVCO) Management team through the remaining phases of the project.
Job responsibilities includes but not limited to due diligence reviews, permits application, contracts oversight, engineering, design and monitoring of construction, overseeing lender obligations and project costs, government regulations compliance as well as schedules control, etc.
Candidate Requirements-
•Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering plus solid experience in infrastructure industry (preferably power industry) with proven ability in areas such as power plant design, project engineering, project controls, plant construction, permitting, operations and project management.
•Minimum 12 years of relevant experience or with proven track record in the infrastructure industry, power plant experience is an advantage.
•Sound knowledge in electrical power plant engineering design, construction, operations, business/financial and contractual matters.
•Strong leadership and management skills; have commercial acumen and be a team player.
•Excellent communication skills plus good written/spoken English and Mandarin.
