Job Description:
Positions open in New Orleans metro and in Baton Rouge metro

Responsibilities:

Provides technical field support, troubleshoots, makes recommendations for repairs in the field, and provides general consulting on instrument/electrical issues. Services assigned areas of responsibility by providing technical assistance in resolving equipment design, operation, and maintenance problems. Assists in formulating, implementing, maintaining and auditing Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Diagnostic Maintenance (PdM) programs utilizing SAP and other asset management software. Coordinates and oversees activities to maintain and improve refinery instrument/electrical system reliability. Advises engineering on new capital designs and installations to ensure that equipment reliability, operability and maintainability are addressed. Develops and reviews equipment specifications and standards to achieve reliability improvement. Develops and tracks cost justifications for reliability improvement. Stewards outside shop qualification and takes a leading role in addressing outside shop quality issues. Analyzes preventive maintenance and testing results data and trends with Electrical and Instrumentation groups. Analyzes preventive maintenance and testing results data and trends with Electrical and Instrumentation groups. Leads and supports Root Cause Failure Analysis. Ensures/follows up on the execution/implementation of RCFA derived recommendations. Develops basic engineering packages for improvement projects. Utilizes reliability database, SAP and other electronic tools to track cost, equipment histories and preventive/predictive maintenance. Leads in preparation, planning and reporting of the Instrumentation, Electrical, and analyzer group KPI's in the Monthly Reliability meeting. Performs all duties following the safety rules and guidelines established by the Refinery.

Requirements:  

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (preferably in Electrical Engineering) required. A minimum of two years experience in a reliability or maintenance engineering group required. Experience with medium voltage electrical, process instrumentation, and process analyzers is desired.
